The Public Works Department office is open Monday thru Friday 8am – 3pm.
The office is closed for lunch from noon – 12:30pm.
The recycling area will be closed the following Saturdays in 2023 due to holidays:

Compost site and Encroachment permits are issued during office hours only as shown above.
The recycling area is open on Saturday’s 8am-12pm. Recycling is not accepted during the week. Residents may recycle household electronics, batteries, scrap metal, CFL and Fluorescent light bulbs, unmixed used motor oil and antifreeze. Small amounts of flattened cardboard will be accepted if there is room in the container. Residents who wish to recycle must check in with the attendant on duty before dropping items off.
Other business may be handled by telephone or email. If your call isn't answered right away, please press ZERO and leave a message. Calls and emails will be answered within 24 hours excluding weekends and holidays.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of town buildings, town garage, WPCA, sewerage, streets, rights of way, parks, public lands, drainage, compost site and the collection of waste and recycling. The umbrella of Public Works includes the staff of highways, parks, facilities, and WPCA.
