02/23/2026 STORM UPDATE

Message from Mike Sinsigalli, Emergency Management Director

The storm continues to intensify, with heavy snowfall expected through at least noon and high winds continuing into this evening. Wind gusts in excess of 50MPH are anticipated.

At this time, there are no reported outages in WL. However, minor outages are reported in neighboring communities due to falling limbs. The State remains under a blizzard warning and a travel advisory remains in effect.

Wind-driven debris, including tree limbs, can cause serious injury. Residents are strongly urged to stay inside until the high winds subside.

Please remember that downed power lines may remain energized and extremely dangerous. DO NOT approach or touch any downed lines. If you encounter a downed power line, call 911.
