𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐢 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞:
I will start off with rain has not been our friend, but the work must get done and will get done. Extreme heat, although not ideal the crew is committed to getting this done and will work through the temperatures.
Once the tents we constructed to keep any environmental hazards contained, waterblasting began and upon taking off all the old layers of paint it was determined 135 sq. feet of repairs needed to be made to restore the pools integrity.(originally we had thought 60 sq. feet but paint and other techniques were hiding even more cracks that weren’t discovered until we got in there.) Even worse as paint was removed the concrete was spalling leaving even a bigger job. The crew has been outstanding and knows the importance of opening the pool yesterday. We will meet again tomorrow to have a more definitive answer as to the opening. We will OPEN the pool!
None of this is ideal and I understand that, but the safety of our citizens must come first and to have a pool for generations to come. With all the above problems, we can still bring this project in on budget. I have attached a few pics to show with what we are dealing with.
The high school pool remains an option and we will get water into this pool as soon as possible.
