Eversource – Stray Voltage Inspections in Windsor Locks: Eversource, through its contractor Osmose, will begin conducting Stray Voltage inspections in cities and towns tentatively beginning September 20 through the 21st.  These inspections will involve a slow moving van traveling through neighborhoods and residential areas at night and working to detect areas of voltage in streetlight poles, manholes covers, street signs and other objects that could be a danger to the public.  We want to make municipalities aware so that there is no unnecessary cause for concern and ask that you forward this to your law enforcement agency as well.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Update 7/1/2021 to 7/14/2021

There were thirteen new cases of positive test results for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) involving Windsor Locks residents reported to us by the health department from July 1, 2021 to July 14, 2021.  No additional deaths was reported.

The Town of Windsor Locks remains under a public health emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please continue to follow the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Connecticut Department of Public Health.

It is nearly a certainty that all of these case could have been avoided had the individuals been vaccinated.  Responsible citizenship requires that we take all needed steps to limit the spread of COVID-19.
