ALL AMERICAN WASTE TO BEGIN CURBSIDE PICK UP OF BAGGED YARD-WASTE TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2017
Residents my place bagged yard-waste at the curb for collection by All American Waste beginning Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Bagged yard-waste will be collected every Tuesday Town-wide, until further notice. Do not bag anything that isn’t easily compostable. Larger items such as tree branches, shrubs etc., may be hauled to the compost site with a permit.
Routes begin early, so all bags should be out no later than 6 a.m. on Tuesday (collection day). If bags aren't picked up by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, please call All American Waste at 860-289-7850.
THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY:
All yard waste placed curbside for pick up, must be in Brown Lawn and Leaf Bags.
Bundles of small branches and twigs will be accepted if the bundles are tied with string and do not exceed 3 feet in length. Please keep in mind that branches should not be wider than 1/2 inch.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR CURBSIDE PICK UP:
Leaves, pine-needles, pine cones, acorns, twigs, small branches, dead plant matter from last year’s annuals and/or perennials, thatch, and green grass clippings.
Twigs/branches may be bundled for pick up, however, the items must not be longer than 3 ft. or larger than a thumb in diameter. The bundles must be tied with string or twine (no wire or taped bundles will be picked up).
The following items will not be picked up curbside:soil, rocks, tree stumps or branches over 1/2 inch in diameter
